From concept to final look, piecing together this scrap-patchwork PRIDE 2025 dress for @bokchoiqueen was an incredible project to work on. Lots of unseen work (including overthinking!) goes into making custom outfits and it really is a labour of love 💜🧡💙

It was an honour creating this golden warrior princess fantasy for DRDU alum @ivoryglaze ‘s promo look for @dragraceph SLAYSIAN ROYALE! ✨🐉

Officially our fourth collaboration together and the second time round to showcase our work and artistic POV on the drag race stage.
.
Following the brief, we put together this look which was comprised of multiple pieces:
- Ivory lycra/nude illusion bodysuit with coral/root hand dyed appliqués, representing the dilution of our Chinese heritage throughout the generations
- Ivory georgette palazzo pants with draped panels
- Gold Chinese brocade and taffeta panelled dresscoat with collar embellishments, inspired by the “Da Jin” gown from Guo Pei’s 2006 “Samsara” collection
- Gold foiled PVC corset (moulded peacock and armour embellishments made by Ivory)

A stressful week of late nights and express shipping (as is the way with drag race packages!!) I’m so grateful for this experience. Every costume I make is an opportunity for me to continue to learn and grow as a designer — and in this specific context, as fellow Wasian’s, express our love for our shared cultural heritage.

A custom look for musician @dyan_tai and their single “hehehaha” — Dyan always brings me the most amazing concepts that allow me to dive into more Asian cultural and fashion research. In this case we channeled some major decora energy, requiring lots of little accessories and details 💖⭐️🥮🍡

The outfit features an overalls dress, with full tiered tulle skirt and built in petticoat, plus bootie covers. I also made some bows, bracelets, a DYAN letter necklace and little felt patch “emojis” — hearts, stars, moon cakes and dango.

✨SOLD✨ It’s time to enter your golden era and shoot for the stars! I’ve been working on this corseted bodysuit for what feels like an eternity and hoping it’ll find a gorgeous new home! A glittery burlesquey pixie moment — the base is a foiled lycra (using scraps from a previous project) backed in sturdy poly/cotton, with open ended side zip.
Featuring an array of hand-cut stars, which have been outlined in black pvc and hand embellished with crystals and rhinestones, forming an a-symmetrical skirt that wraps around the hips of the bodysuit.
The back laces up to allow for a comfortable and customised fit. With elasticated gusset for ease of movement.
