As the alzheimer continues to spread, I try to capture some of these moments where she is not only an early Alzheimer patient but also and above all, what she was and what she is, meaning a woman who has always been fascinated by gymnasts and dancers, and just loves moving like a ballerina anywhere, anytime.
I don't know why but almost everytime I take my camera and ask her to pose for me she just says no and then dances. And I cherish that.

J'ai aperçu la silhouette d'une femme allongée sur un des gros coussins de l'espace famille au fond du Hangar Y. Elle était profondément endormie, et lorsqu'un enfant qui jouait dans un des tipis s'est exclamé fort "qu'est ce qu'elle fait par terre maman" un homme lui a répondu "Chut, maman dort, elle est très fatiguée." et ils ont continué à jouer sans faire trop de bruit.
