This is one of the key people behind note/void.If it wasn’t for him, we probably wouldn’t have played gigs.
Ayam and Moutou were among the first individuals and entities to recognize us as a band.Our very first gig was organized by Moutou,with Ayam curating the bands for the show.Ayam set up a segment called Blue Note Bohemian.
From the very first Blue Note Bohemian(this is our first gig) all the way to the latest one,Blue Note Bohemian Vol. 9…..
Time really flew,suddenly it’s already Volume 9...there you go,haha.
So last week, Ayam ended his bachelor days with the woman he chose.Cik Am managed to attend the ceremony,which felt meaningful and quite rare....for knowing Ayam,we honestly didn’t expect him to get married,haha.
And one more thing....Ayam and Moutou also helped us with our crowdfunding gig to go play in Bangkok.From Moutou all the way to Bangkok, he supported us throughout.
So,from all of us in note/void,
we pray that Ayam and his partner will be happy together for the rest of their lives.

So…April is officially the month for jazz. And yeah,people often associate us note/void with jazz.Even though we prefer to describe ourselves as an instrumental band.
We’ve never denied playing jazz either...if people ask,we’ll just say we play swing, bossa, samba…but we don’t straight up claim that we’re a jazz band.That’s because we believe any band or act can be whatever it wants to be without needing to change its name or label itself under a specific genre.
From there, you can see that a band can evolve into whatever it likes without being tied down to one specific genre...period !!!
So,in this glorious month of jazz...with jazz events happening all around KL...not a single one of them invited us to play.
So here it is, officially and clearly…..
WE ARE NOT A JAZZ BAND....hahaha.
And yeah,
we’re about to play a release party gig for a grindcore band next week..Saturday...April 25...Rumah Api.
We’ll be sandwiched between punk...metal and grindcore bands for that show.
So if you want to start calling us GRINDCORE after this…..go ahead…hahaha.
So for this set,we might NOT play the usual stuff we always play…maybe it’ll be more of an IMPROVISATION set.Tengok camne !!!

We showed up at the gathering of the triad in Bangkok.

As exotic as the name sounds !!!
That’s exactly how we felt while we were there.
It was our first time going overseas as a unit/band, serving up our own spices, blending Western ingredients with our local sensibilities.
A festival full of networking. The upper floor was way too packed for networking, so we chose street networking...lol...And yeah, we met a lot of people and experienced a lot of cool things. Made many friends, both locals and foreigners. It was awesome.
Thank you to everyone involved behind the scenes, in front, left, right, above, and below the stage. You all were amazing. Everything ran smoothly. Just that some of the email deals were a bit avant-garde and hallucinated (inside joke)… lol.
Thanks as well to those who came during our set and to those who stayed until the end of our set. You guys really blew it up !!!
There’s actually a lot more we want to write, since this was our first time experiencing something like this.
It’s okay… we’ll tell the rest another time.

2025 can be said to have been a year that wasn’t really okay for us. There were many bitter moments. There were some sweet ones too, but it felt like the bitterness outweighed the sweetness.
Not to deny fate, but this is simply how it was written.
We hope that 2026 brings a new and fresh light, like fruit pulp that refreshes and quenches the thirst of emptiness left by 2025.
