Lauren and Chad's wedding at The Chesapeake OBX was a high-energy party from start to finish. One of the bigger productions of the year and definitely among the most memorable I've ever done. Fantastic vendor team too. Took a ton of work to pull this off but it was absolutely worth it!

Sometimes you do things you’re not proud of...
I made this song around a year ago for another artist, but the project fell through. With 40 hours already invested into the demo, I decided to pick up the pieces and finish it for myself. It’ll just be a quick little polish...
Well, the song became a dark pit and I became the poster child for the sunk-cost fallacy. I made every mistake and fell for just about every trap one could fall for in the song creation process. 40hrs became 100, 100 became 200, and I eventually abandoned it and scheduled the train wreck for release after 450hrs.
I’m still not proud of it. I’m not proud of the life events the lyrics reflect, the way it sounds, or how I let it get the best of me, but here it is.
I’ve got one more song after this one coming Oct. 4th that was also an abandoned project for another artist that I later finished. After these 2, I’ve decided to focus more on being an artist than a producer, writing and making music that I like and finding my own sound.
Anyways, if you don’t like this song, no worries—I probably like it less. Thank you for listening either way!
If you know me, you know I’ve gone down my fair share of paths in life. I’ve had some minor successes, but primarily major faceplants. This song is a tribute to those failures.

So I made another song. I wrote this one when I was about 18 and after 7 years I finally decided to record it.
At that age and the many awkward years before it, I had my share of depressing existential thoughts and a relatively unhealthy fear of dying. Frequently, the idea that life might be meaningless and that death might lead to absolutely nothing would cross my mind and tie a knot in my gut so tight that I’d miss a great deal of moments to just be happy.
As I’ve grown older and learned more, I’ve realized how much I don’t know about life and what may or may not come after it. The unknown is still scary, but what I do know is that we’re experiencing whatever reality we’re in right now. It’s our only guarantee. It’s all we know and maybe all we’ve got, so why not try our best to enjoy it while we can? Even if it is all for nothing, I’m still going to love just as deeply, laugh just as hard, and smile just as often. What good alternative do we have?
I’m only human, so at times I still struggle with these thoughts. If you do too, just know that you’re far from alone. I’m sure there's millions of people that feel the same way, but if not I can at least guarantee that you’ve got one.
