Arriving today via No Static Automatic, this 4-track expedition is the dynamic follow-up to 2020’s Voices In My Head (Noises In My Pants). If you know, you know—Phil Klein has been shaping the fabric of the Electro scene since the late 80s, and this one is pure cerebral warfare.
From the hypnotic swirls of Brainwash to the frantic programming of Primordial Soup, this EP bridges old-school grit with a borderline-industrial edge. As Bass Agenda put it: “From funky to ferocious… influential, individual, and infectious.”

Few producers have done more to define UK electro than Phil Klein. Under his Mental Note alias, the Bass Junkie architect returns with four cuts of warped electronic psychedelia — hypnotic synths, crunchy textured drums, frantic programming, and deep locked-in grooves.
Active since the late 80s, Klein’s fingerprints are across the genre: Battle Trax, Breakin’ Records, Touchin’ Bass, Elektrix — plus collaborations with Dynamix II, Radioactiveman, and Dexorcist. A legacy built on decades at the machine, not moments in the spotlight.

With a career spanning two decades at the nexus of music and technology, Luke Sanger is a relentless innovator. While his roots are often linked to techno, his artistic output defies easy categorization, constantly exploring the full spectrum of electronic music. On the Cabin Pressure EP, he turns his focus to electro, injecting the genre with his uniquely offkilter and captivating sound.
The EP is a masterful display of analog synthesis.
