From Monday 27 April, residents will need to register before visiting any of our household waste recycling centres. Registration is free, takes a couple of minutes, and lasts for three years. Residents can register online from Monday 27 April and use the centres straight away. Nothing will be sent in the post, and staff will check vehicle number plates on arrival. Owners of commercial‑like vehicles will also be able to make up to 12 free visits per year to dispose of their own household waste once registered. Commercial-like vehicle registrations will last for one year. Head to latest news link in our bio to see full details.

Ripon’s historic Town Hall is entering a new chapter, and local people will be key to helping shape its future. The Town Hall has been leased to Ripon City Council for £1 per year on a 99‑year agreement, and residents will soon be invited to tour the site and share their ideas for its future. As part of the agreement, we will provide £55,000 in initial funding, continue to pay business rates for 2026-27, and support efforts to secure further external investment. We're holding some drop-in events where you can find out more and share your views on: - Saturday 6 June, 10am to 12pm, Boroughbridge Library - Wednesday 17 June, 3pm to 5pm, Boroughbridge Methodist Church Or, have your say online by heading to the current consultations link in our bio.
