Political season has returned, and suddenly APC’s Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa has discovered Keke Napep.
This is 2026, not 1999. Nigerians are no longer moved by election season humility acting. Politicians should understand that poverty theatre will not erase years of hardship, arrogance, and failed governance.
Enter Keke today, enter market tomorrow, eat corn by the roadside next week, the people already know the script.
The Video below indicate that Mallam Nasir ElRufai was denied access to food this evening by the ICPC. In the clip, his wife, Hajiya Aisha, provides an explanation.
Malam Nasir ElRufai’s wife speaking publicly about how ICPC officials allegedly refused him access to his doctor and food should worry every Nigerian who still believes in due process, dignity, and the rule of law.
This issue is bigger than politics. Whether anyone likes ElRufai or not, no citizen in custody should be treated in a way that raises questions about access to medical care, food, family support, and basic human dignity.
Detention is not a licence for humiliation. Investigation is not a licence for cruelty. State power must never be used in a way that makes citizens fear that their rights can disappear once they fall out with those in authority.
If there is a case against ElRufai, let the law take its course. Let evidence be presented. Let the court decide. But denying or restricting access to a doctor and food, if true, crosses a serious moral and legal line.
Nigeria cannot claim to be fighting corruption while appearing to ignore fundamental rights.
A credible institution must know that justice is not only about investigation. It is also about fairness, transparency, humane treatment, and respect for the person in custody.
This is why Nigerians are asking questions. Why should a former governor, a citizen, a father, and a political figure be placed in a situation where his wife has to stand outside and publicly complain about food and medical access?
This should not be normal.
ICPC must clarify this immediately. Nigerians deserve to know the truth.
Because once institutions begin to look like instruments of political intimidation, public trust dies.
And when trust dies, justice itself becomes suspect.

Gov. Fintiri Approves Conversion of Specialist Hospital Yola to ADSU Teaching Hospital
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has approved the conversion of the Specialist Hospital Yola into the Adamawa State University Teaching Hospital.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has approved the conversion of the Specialist Hospital Yola into the Adamawa State University Teaching Hospital.
The Secretary to the State Government, Awwal Tukur, disclosed this while inaugurating members of the conversion committee at Government House, Yola.
Barrister Tukur explained that the management of Adamawa State University had recently requested the governor’s approval for the conversion to provide a training facility for medical students within the state, rather than sending them outside Adamawa for clinical training.
According to him, Governor Fintiri considered the request and approved the conversion, noting that the development would improve healthcare delivery and strengthen medical education in the state.
Speaking during the inauguration, the Vice Chancellor of Adamawa State University, Augustine Clement, stated that the committee was inaugurated alongside the Commissioner for Health and Human Services to finalize the modalities for the smooth operation of the teaching hospital.
Professor Clement described the approval as a clear demonstration of Governor Fintiri’s commitment to improving healthcare services and educational standards in Adamawa State.
He added that the university would soon commence several academic activities for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Also speaking, the Chief Medical Director of Specialist Hospital Yola, Dauda Wadinga, expressed the hospital’s readiness and commitment to commence the programme and commended the governor for approving the conversion.
On his part, the Acting Provost of the Adamawa State College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Michael Misauno, described Governor Fintiri as a visionary leader and assured that the institution would work diligently toward achieving the objectives of the project.
This is beyond a mistake this is pure medical negligence. Imagine carrying a forgotten surgical towel inside your body for over four months after a fibroid operation, living in pain and discomfort while trusting that professionals had done their job properly. This is heartbreaking, traumatic, and unacceptable.
How many Nigerians have suffered silently because of carelessness, lack of accountability, and weak supervision in some hospitals? Patients go into surgery hoping to be healed, not to leave with more complications caused by negligence.
The Nigerian health authorities, hospital managements, and medical regulatory bodies must wake up. There should be proper investigations, strict monitoring, and serious punishment for any medical personnel found guilty of endangering patients’ lives through negligence. Human lives are not experiments.
This should serve as a wake-up call to the healthcare system in Nigeria. Every patient deserves safe treatment, proper care, and accountability when things go wrong. Enough is enough.
Not everybody asking for help is looking for attention. Some people are genuinely trying to survive difficult moments quietly đź’”
