Do you have thoughts on how our local dog runs could be cleaner, safer, or just plain better? Now is your chance to be the voice your dog doesn’t have.
The Parks Department and local government are hosting a Virtual Community Meeting specifically to gather our requests for a brand-new dog park in the neighborhood. Whether you’re dreaming of better drainage, more shade, or separate areas for the little guys, we need you there to make it happen.

🦴 Throwing a bone to the amazing neighbors who turned out to refresh the dog run at McGolrick Park last Saturday!
💵 Right now @mcgolrickdogs is raising funds to replace the chicken wire and windscreens on the dog run fences. They’ve almost met their goal! Help get them over the finish line: see link in their bio to make a donation.
💪 The group is also seeking volunteers to care for this bustling hub for pups. DM @mcgolrickdogs if you want to lead the pack in maintaining the dog run and creating community action here.
NBK Parks is proud to stand with @cmrestler to support @nycparks and @mcgolrickdogs alongside @northbrooklyndogs with the cleanup and the next phase of this project: procuring and installing the new fencing materials and loading in new pea gravel. It takes a village to steward these spaces!

Folks from the community will come together for ~an hour to level the ground surface and spread new mulch to keep the dog run safe, and 💦 flood-free.

We’ve teamed up with @chasethewheels to create an easy, casual way for local pups to try a slatmill run session and see what it’s all about.
No pressure — just a fun new experience for dogs and a chance for humans to hang out.
Tired pups = happy humans.
This week’s Run Club is hosted by Rolo & Claire from Cooper Park 🐶🐶
How it works:
🐾 Sign up on the Run Sheet when you arrive
🐾 15-minute slatmill sessions — $15 + tax
✨ First run FREE for new dogs

It’s a mobile dog gym! We’ve custom-fitted a van with a high-performance slatmill.
Unlike a motorized treadmill, a slatmill is 100% dog-powered. They control the pace, the sprint, and the stop.
