Thrilled to return to the island this summer, Rose Messenger will be playing the boisterous Betty Jean!
Originally from New Brunswick, Canada, Rose is newly based in New York City after graduating from the BFA Musical Theatre program at The University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music (CCM). Recent credits include Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd at Black Rock Theatre, Bea Bottom in Something Rotten at CCM, Josie Pye in Anne and Gilbert at The Island Festival, Cinderella at Westport Country Playhouse, and this fall, Rose will be joining the Canadian company of Titanique with Mirvish Productions and The Segal Centre.

✨CAST MEMBER HIGHLIGHT ✨
Thrilled to be making her return to the island, Anique Mercier plays the always in control Missy!
Alongside having her BFA in theatre from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, MFA in Musical Theatre Performance and MM in Vocal Pedagogy, both from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Anique has been lucky to perform on stages across the USA and Canada. Select credits include No Change in the Weather, Anne and Gilbert, Matilda, It’s a Wonderful Life, Peter and the Starcatcher, Willy Wonka, Heathers, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, the Velveteen Rabbit and Enemy of the People. In addition to her work in performance, Anique joined the vocal faculty in Sheridan College’s Honours Bachelor of Musical Theatre Performance program in 2023 and is the founder and artistic director of North Stage.
