She had no plan to compete.
At 23:00 the night before, Fien van Zwieten decided to enter SBMC.
It was her first time at the Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships, one of freeride skiing’s most established competitions.
The goal was not the result. It was to let go of the pressure, have fun, and ski like she was skiing by herself.
The result speaks for itself.
First time at SBMC. First place in the women’s ski category. 🏆

Some weekends remind us why we do what we do.
Last week at Turtagrø, the Norrøna family came together from across teams, and even across continents, for a few days in the mountains. 👫⛰️❄️
Ski touring, hiking, mountain skiing, shared meals and moving through whatever weather Jotunheimen decided to send our way. We can truly say we got the full Norwegian mountain experience. 🌦️
For us, nature has always been the meeting point. It is where we test, learn, connect and come together. But in the end, it is the people behind it who turn it into something meaningful.

97 years of Norrøna 🎂
Since 1929, our story has been carried forward by family, craftsmanship and a deep respect for nature. Four generations later, Norrøna is still family-owned and led by Jørgen Jørgensen.
Today, the fifth generation of the Jørgensen family is becoming part of a story that began nearly a century ago. For Mathilde and Josefine, Norrøna has always been present: in the clothes they wore, the adventures they shared, and the conversations around the dinner table. But the message at home has always been clear: follow your own path.
Perhaps that is what keeps the story alive. Curiosity over expectation. Identity over trends. Quality over time. 🌱
