Når krig, geopolitisk uro og press på internasjonalt samarbeid set bistanden under press, må vi vite meir om kva som faktisk gir effekt.
Evalueringsprogrammet 2026–2027 skal gi kunnskap som kan brukast.
Dei neste to åra skal programmet undersøke kva som verkar i norsk utviklingssamarbeid, kvifor det verkar, og korleis erfaringar kan brukast til betre prioriteringar, læring og meir ansvarleg bruk av ressursar.

Through her exchange with Wasasa Microfinance in Ethiopia, she worked on financial literacy for marginalised communities and brought in perspectives from Kenya’s more digitalised financial sector.
The experience pushed her out of her comfort zone and strengthened her confidence, independence.

Kari Lindemann and Roger Sevrin Bruland from Norec is attending IVCO2025 this week!
IVCO is the annual conference of the International Forum for Volunteering in Development. Each year the event brings together leaders, practitioners, and thinkers from across the world to explore how volunteering and exchange can drive sustainable change.
This year’s host is the Cooperation Committee for Cambodia (CCC), together with Forum and partners like Australian Volunteers International, France Volontaires, and VSO. Their warm welcome and strong local leadership have set the stage for powerful conversations.

🎉 Five innovative projects just got support through Norec’s new funding scheme, Post-Exchange Initiative! 🌍
Out of 145 applications, these five were selected to share a total of NOK 200,000. 🌍
The projects include:
🌸 Improving hygiene for girls in Malawi: Training in creating reusable sanitary pads to promote better hygiene and a safer puberty.
🌱 Empowering farmers in Kenya: Training in sustainable farming, beekeeping, and herb cultivation to secure new income opportunities.
🌟 Early support for children with disabilities in Tanzania: Training to identify and support children with special needs at an earlier stage.
⚽ Establishing a sports centre in Tanzania: A safe meeting place for children and youth in vulnerable communities.
🤱 Supporting young single mothers in Uganda: Initiatives to equip them with skills and resources for a sustainable future.
