A special installation in Florida.
We are delighted to see this powerful work by Austrian artist Norbert Brunner installed inside the Chanel Boca Raton boutique, a space conceived by renowned architect Peter Marino.
Brunner’s work explores the tension between image, identity, and perception through a striking surface composed of hundreds of small circular elements that dissolve and reconstruct the portrait as the viewer moves through space. The result is both sculptural and optical—an artwork that shifts between abstraction and figuration.
Installed within this refined architectural environment, the piece enters into a compelling dialogue with Marino’s language of luxury, materiality, and spatial precision.

If the saying goes, “god-is-in-the-details“, then there are some god´s eye view images of my works installed at Coffee Pirates in the heart of Vienna´s university district. The first image is the site specific commission made 2024 articulating the Pirates new logo: Combining acrylic glass, synthetic crystals, and LEDs. The second, a tondo, is „MICRO II“ (2017), also using acrylic glass,LEDs, and digital print on acrylic glass. The image is a dust mote as seen under an electron microscope. They were both a joy to make and should be a joy to see in person.

For those of you raising a mug of Glühwein at the Christmas market on Stephansplatz, please raise your eyes to the skyline adjacent to the famous PoMo Hans Hollein building (now DO&CO) to see my installation “URBI ET ORBI” (2024). It was a few months in the making but is ready for that time of the year when the Pope makes his famous balcony address, “from the city to the world.” You get the concept: This was a site-specific private commission for a balcony opposite a cathedral. My message for the year ahead is that contemporary art endures and has an eternal role in expressing our shared human values at their best. A prime example is Cook Local Act Infinite, the art object by Norbert Brunner, Austria — an ongoing project since 2015 that has travelled across the globe. In 2024, 365 ART introduced it to Central Asia, specifically Kazakhstan, within the framework of the Art of Traditions exhibition project in collaboration with National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
There, as the next step, the work transitioned from an institutional context into a living environment - Laureate Grand Cafe, Almaty - allowing participants not only to view the piece but to interact with it and become part of its evolving narrative.
