Alright people, back to our regularly scheduled program. This one’s for those who want to know more about us. **If not, no worries: like the photo, pull up, and ask for the bottle. We got you (2026 Update) We’ve been moving a lot of pieces lately: Art. Music. Food. People. But let’s be clear: we are, at our core, a wine shop. Everything else? Orbit. We exist for our neighborhood first. The people who walk through our doors, the ones who keep this place alive. If that means being a business incubator, cultural art center, reserving space for a loved one’s remembrance/celebration, we’ll do it. Not because it’s trendy but because it matters here. Back in 2020, we made a call: the old model was done. So we built something else. Depósito: “El Nopalito” a wine shop in Old Town McAllen that leads with heart, not ego. Approachable. Unconventional. Grounded. And just as important, this is your place to unplug. From the noise. From the scroll. From the rush. A place to slow down, share a bottle, sit with a friend, and actually listen. Our space is a love letter to the listening bars of Japan. Those fully analog sound rooms built with intention, care, and respect for people. We took that spirit and brought it here. To McAllen. For you. This is part of our DNA. And the wine? We take that seriously. We don’t just sell bottles. We study them, argue about them, obsess over them. We believe wine is agriculture first. A product of land, weather, time with as little human interference as possible. And sometimes that means going far…Serbia far. Because the unconventional isn’t a gimmick for us, case in point: @bikickiwinery S/O Sauvignon Blanc 2022 Our notes: Lime zest, crushed herbs, gooseberry. Bright but still waking up, with a quiet pull of wet stone and salinity from the Danube River. It stays lean and lifted. Citrus oil, a hint of something wild then finishes dry and just a little bitter like grapefruit pith…the kind that keeps you coming back. This is who we are. Many faces. One core. A place where culture moves but never at the expense of intention. Come find us. Stay a while. We’re right here. El Disco es Cultura. Y el vino también 👩🏽‍🌾

Sunny is back ☀️ Bright, easygoing, and made for long afternoons, this Summer Pale Ale brings juicy fruit character with just enough bitterness to keep things crisp. Notes of peach, passion fruit, and tangerine ride through every sip. Cold beer, warm weather, no bad angles. 🍑🍊✨

In the natural world, nothing goes unconsumed, and some resourceful creatures find sustenance where others find garbage. We celebrate these wonderful creatures that eat the very things we throw away, and we thank them for the lessons we can learn. Journey with us in welcoming DETRITIVORE (Batch JAN 2025) with the same Michigan cherries that power Montmorency vs. Balaton. Limited availability 🪲
