An artifact made for the studio’s sixth anniversary is a new iteration of the hand-embroidered caps by the dear Bruno of Lundi Paris @lundi_paris . It’s always been one of the most beloved and longest-running pieces of the studio uniform, now returning in black.

Non-Objective turns 6 today. More certain than ever — with a clear sense of what we do and why we do it, even as the world grows more turbulent. What began as a response to how our previous workplaces were structured has become a practice committed to making sense of contemporary design and moving toward what we want design to be. Each year the vision sharpens, the projects grow more ambitious, the community expands — and yet our principles remain unchanged: we still prioritize genuine curiosity, the pursuit of results that are both excellent and appropriate, and an understanding of design as a broader discipline that allows us to do very different things. We enter this new year hoping our work is part of the better future ahead. And always: thank you to everyone involved.

Apropos Editions spent most of the past year working with stainless steel, but 2026 brings a return to paper. The new title is “Still Lives, 9-to-5”, a book that concludes Katya Sikacheva’s photographic project of the same name. It is in its final stages of production now, and we’ll be showing it this summer.

nephew is opening very soon. It’s a cafe with freshly-baked bagels and coffee, and we had a chance to give it a visual voice (and a face, as you may see from the second picture). The final images are coming — but until then, here is something from the presentation and a photo the team sent us in the days leading up. More fragments of the visual language for ausei, focusing this time on the chosen typeface — Maxeville by S-M. At first it seems quite neutral, yet reveals more active nuances upon closer inspection, along with pronounced diacritics and punctuation. We love how these qualities resonate with the brand’s approach, as all bags are made by hand.

Let’s revisit one of our memorable exhibitions, a project we worked on both as designers and curators. “Form and Content: Design Books’ Design” took place in 2024 at Koordinata, a contemporary design space, where we brought together 50 books on exceptional designers and architects — each selected not only for its content, but for the expressiveness and thoughtfulness of its form.

Fragments from test prints of the paper insert for Apropos Editions @apropos.editions VASE-21 S packaging: it introduces the object and presents a photo series exploring the sequence (1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6) that informs the structure of the vase.
