Suzanne, Breilyn, and Maryanne may have complicated feelings about being online, but they love love LOVE their dogs. So much so that they meet in a Facebook group where people post AS their dogs— engaging in a digital cosplay where they find solace in a community based on kindness, treats, and belly rubs. When the charming and charismatic Golden Retriever “Charlie” enters the group, each woman forms a distinct and passionate bond with this Good Boy. But when Charlie goes rogue before the celebratory “Rainbow Bridge Event,” the women fall down an online rabbit hole where they are forced to confront their real selves as well as their digital avatars to discover the truth of what happened to their pixel-furry friend.
