26.2 MILES ON APRIL 26TH 2026!!🫶🏻✨ 4 hours, 49 minutes and 35 seconds⚡️ £3,355 raised (and climbing🥺) for @younglivesvscancer - an incredible charity that has helped so many, including some of my close friends🩷 you can still donate via the l!nk for a little while longer☺️ Just the most surreal day ever. I don’t think it’s quite sunk in yet?!? Running through the streets of the BEST city in the world is second to none. I kept running until 32km, which is the furthest I’d taken myself in training, and allowed myself to have a few walking breaks. It was a hot day, and the 4.30 goal was out of the window by about mile 21🫣 so that’s just a goal for next time😉 I dedicated every mile to someone different, so when I was struggling, I knew who I could think about to get me through. I definitely recommend this for anyone running a long race any time soon!!💚💚 I was also surprised by some of my friends who’d kept it a secret for months🥺 If you were involved in ANY way with that, or if you were tracking me on the app, texting me throughout, or even out on the course, I can’t put into words how grateful I am. I have never felt love like it🥺💚💚 Today, I’ve slept. I’ve replied to some gorgeous messages, but I’ve mostly slept. My legs feel good, but we’ll see how tomorrow goes..! Life lately🩷✨ I feel like all I’ve spoken about recently is running and the marathon, and whilst I’m still on a bit of a runners high, I’d love to share everything else too✨ In no particular order… -Penny’s still my bestie, although she’s really found her voice… she likes to scream in the kitchen until we sit with her🙃 -I’m still going strong with antidepressants!! They’ve truly changed my life, and I’m so lucky that the first ones I tried have suited me almost perfectly! I store them in a little Pokemon tin for a little bit of whimsy… -I’m currently attempting to make a wig for a cosplay. A clue in the pictures, but I don’t want to make any promises until I know it’s starting to look semi decent!💦 -yesterday, my Dad had a procedure on his heart to prevent any more strokes. It all went really well, and I got to spend the day with my Mum to help take her mind off things. He’s doing incredibly well, considering his second stroke in December. It meant an awful lot that he was able to see me run on Sunday🥰 -we’re struggling a little with our flat and the problems that keep appearing… gives it character, I guess! The man I live with has come up with lots of wonderful solutions, and he’s made it as cosy as possible. He’s good, I like him☺️ Hope everyone’s well! IT’S HAPPENING!🫣🩷 4! More! Sleeps! Until marathon day!! Pinch me, is it real?!? I’ve been counting down until today. Attending the expo feels like the proper start of the marathon. I’ve got my number, I’ve found my name on the wall (next to my cousin🥰) and I’ve picked up my finishers tshirt… although putting it on before Sunday afternoon feels like I’ll jinx my fate🫣 It was so so lovely chatting to the lovely team at @younglivesvscancer - after all these months of encouraging phone calls, texts and emails. What an honour it is to be wearing my pink, black and gold on Sunday🩷 Almost 600km completed in training since January. Just the most important 42.2km to go✨🥹 it’s going to be an emotional rollercoaster… Incredibly grateful to everyone who’s donated so far! We’re so close to hitting £3000!!🤯 you can continue to donate for the next few weeks, but I am already over the moon. Cosplaying on a budget!💛 I’ve really enjoyed putting together these outfits/cosplays inspired by my favourite Pokémon! I’ve definitely taken a little step back from my usual inspiration, trending or popular characters, and started choosing cosplays that make me happy😌✨ Buying clothes second hand isn’t just better for the environment (or my wallet…) but I’ve also found it so much more exciting.
