In September 2025, five women over 60 stood on a surfboard for the very first time — in Galicia, with waves, laughter, and a courage that still inspires us today. It was our first Goldies Surf Camp, and it couldn't have gone better.
2026, we're back. This time on Fuerteventura, our home base.
The Goldies Surf Gang is for women aged 60 and over, beginners and experienced surfers alike. No prior experience needed. Just curiosity, and maybe a small voice inside that says: why not now?
Or maybe you know someone who should hear about this? Maybe it's your mum. Your aunt. A friend who has always talked about trying something new — but never quite found the right moment. Maybe this is the moment. A simple forward could be the nudge that changes their September.

Not a day for flowers.
A day for change.
International Women's Day has its roots in the labour movement of the early 20th century — fought for by women who wanted more than mere tolerance. Who demanded equality, voice, and dignity.
Even in 2026, it still cannot be taken for granted:
👀 that women can move safely anywhere in the world.
👀 that women can play sport without being judged.
👀 that women of every age are allowed to take up space.
That's exactly why we do what we do.
We create spaces in the water and beyond. For women of all backgrounds, bodies, and life realities. Experience over perfection. Sisterhood over competition. Empowerment that reaches beyond the next wave.
To everyone working every day to make it unnecessary one day. 💜

While it is winter outside, we are looking back and building our new summer 2026 at the same time.🤝

We can tell you, the stoke was unreal! Together with our lovable, compassionate and responsable cooperation partner @surf_swa.ch we made sure the rippers are safe and sound. Having the time of their lives on a standing wave.🤝. We dan do it, even with full leg prothesis or paraplegic in a wheelchair.
