Boots, the solo show by Merijn Kavelaars in our KIOSK location is extended until June 14th. Visit the KIOSK by appointment, dm or email us [email protected] Boots begins beneath the surface. Objects, fragments and memories from Kavelaars’ childhood are placed under a blank canvas, forming an intimate and deeply personal foundation. Hand clayed ceramic boots, a plastic car, bow and arrow, and other toys and remnants of his early life are assembled below. They remain largely out of sight, yet determine what follows; the painting becomes a map of memory. Photo by Jonathan de Waart

The first solo museum exhibition in the Netherlands, Ntu by Buhlebezwe Siwani is on view at Museum de Fundatie in Zwolle, whose work focuses on spirituality, the body, and the colonial past In Ntu, Siwani uses the Witchcraft Suppression Act as a starting point to show that spirituality is universal and occurs in all cultures. Ntu comes from Bantu philosophy and defines the fundamental life energy that connects all living beings. Photos by Peter Tijhuis, courtesy of Fundatie Zwolle and the artist.

Sacro y profano brings together Alan Hernández’s soft sculptures and wearable work, where textile and metal techniques inherited from his Oaxacan context, shape hybrid bodies that move between softness and control. @_.alan_hernandez._ is currently on show @guadalajara90210 in collaboration with @nomansart . Currently on show in the gallery is Typha, the solo exhibition by Maxim Santalov. Visit the exhibition until the 17th of May. Rooted in childhood experiences, Santalov’s work reflects summers spent in rural Ukraine, where encounters with nature shaped his visual language. This sense of wonder persists in his “insectarium”, a metaphorical space where vanishing species and unidentifiable creatures coexist. Photo by Jonathan de Waart

In Mexico City we opened Sacro y profano, a solo exhibition by Alan Hernández, a collaboration between @guadalajara90210 as part of @condo_complex . On show until May 30th araña de tela dorada, 2026 @_.alan_hernandez._ Fabric, hair, metal, wire, Arduino, dacron, fishnet, diamonds 110 x 110 x 75 cm Sacro y profano brings together Alan Hernández’s soft sculptures and wearable work, where textile and metal techniques inherited from his Oaxacan context, shape hybrid bodies that move between softness and control, as seen in Araña de telaraña dorada, where a spider’s golden web holds a butterfly in a tension between care and domination. Queerness operates as a structural condition, as masks and costumes activate fluid, shared identities while grounding the work in collaboration, performance, and the embodied knowledge of craft.
