Black people should never feel compelled to wait for a designated month, a themed celebration, or society’s permission to embrace their culture and their power. Our history did not begin with oppression, and our excellence does not pause when a calendar page turns. We are descendants of innovators, royalty, warriors, scholars, and visionaries whose brilliance lives in us daily — in our language, our rhythm, our style, our intellect, our resilience.
