In November, I had the opportunity to photograph the MotoGP Portuguese Grand Prix at the incredible AutĂłdromo Internacional do Algarve in PortimĂŁo.
Throughout the weekend, the circuit became a true stage of speed, precision, and adrenaline. The sound of the bikes blasting down the main straight, the brutal braking zones, and the way the riders attack every corner create a spectacle unlike anything else. From behind the camera, every lap is a new chance to capture a moment that exists for only a fraction of a second.
Photographing MotoGP is both intense and rewarding. The combination of extreme speeds, constantly changing light, and the energy of thousands of fans pushes you to stay focused and anticipate the action before it happens. My goal was not only to capture the raw performance on track, but also the atmosphere and emotion that define this championship.
All the images were captured using the Sony Alpha 9 III paired with the Sony FE 300mm f/2.8 GM OSS, as well as the Sony Alpha 1 mark II with the Sony FE 28-70mm f/2 GM—a combination that allowed me to move seamlessly between high-speed track action and wider moments around the circuit.
