There’s a family, and that already almost feels like enough. A family that also feels a bit like an editorial piece, in the sense that every gesture, every presence, holds together with a kind of rare coherence, as if someone had removed the unnecessary instead of adding more.
They decided to get married like this, in blooming fields, without making too much noise. Without building anything that wasn’t already there.
The flowers weren’t chosen, they were found. Gathered in the days before, by walking, looking, returning to the same places as the light shifted. Foraging, yes, but without making it into an important word: more a way of paying attention. Hands taking only what was needed, leaving the rest where it was. Different flowers, a little crooked, sometimes tiny, and exactly right because of it.
It’s a kind of beauty that isn’t constructed, the beauty of this family. It happens. It lives in the relationships, in bodies close to one another, in things made with a care that doesn’t need to be shown. They’re not trying to be different, and that’s why they are.
It’s a wedding that doesn’t try to be beautiful in the right way. It just is. Because it holds together something simple and difficult: being in the world without damaging it too much, and being together without making it complicated.
So more than an event, it feels like something real.
