Cooking up something tasty from scratch!
An active 3-way analog crossover.
It’s my first attempt at using KiCad, or a PCB in general. It seems pretty straight forward, but it’s also a very small and simple circuit.
Now I have to be patient while the copper boards to arrive so I can start the etching process.
This is the power supply part, next I need to decide the frequencies at which i want it to operate at.

After spending countless hours roaming around forums trying to understand the best way to go from schematic to layout using a turret board I think I have found a decent solution.
I was advised to chose a point to point wiring, but since most of the build is salvaged and I had never tried turret boards i decided to try it out.
I LOVE how tidy turret bords look!
I will know how it sounds only once it’s all set up but I paid lots of attention as to have minimal crossing of cables or components, avoiding ground loops, keeping the audio signal as far away as possible from high voltages or the heater wires which have AC running through them, and the list goes on..
The next, and hopefully last step, will be installing the tube sockets back to the chassy and connecting them to the board and output transformers.
