@leoburnettindia , spoke about how conflicting perspectives between agencies and clients can impact working relationships.
He explains that there are times when both sides disagree on the direction of a brand or the way a brand should be built. In such cases, he emphasised the importance of recognising this early and, if needed, parting ways before things escalate.
At the same time, he also spoke about the practical side of making such compromises from a business standpoint. Walking away from an account isn’t without consequences, and those losses need to be made up elsewhere. As he mentions, you can’t run a business purely on morality and beliefs—the P&L (profit and loss) still has to be accounted for.
So while creative alignment is important, the foremost responsibility is to run the business successfully.
