When we tracked it with @willyipmusic , the overall sound & feel of this song reminded me of being in my previous band, DRUGS (w/Matt Good). The era of that. It felt nostalgic and fresh all at once. It felt like an earlier version of Sirens, but way fucking better 😉 Kellin’s vocals and lyrical content on this one has been a standout for me since day 1. Hope you guys enjoy! “An Ending In Itself” is out now! I wasn’t going to do a long ramble post, but I thought it’d be important to share because it means a lot to me. This song was written day 1 of starting this album with our brother/producer @willyipmusic . Slide 2 photo was taken by @kellinquinn just before noon. 4 hours before this photo, I woke up to the news from my parents that my Tata had passed away peacefully in the early morning hours. I felt a lot of feelings that morning heading into the studio. I felt heaviness from the news. I felt vulnerable. I felt unsure what would happen day 1 with my dudes. But, I also felt inspired by my Tata - inspired by his life, his amazing heart, and what he instilled in me throughout my life. I wanted to honor him & make him proud that day. Day 1 with everyone was immensely cathartic & therapeutic for me. This song will forever have such special meaning & hold a special place in my heart. This post is actually a massive thank you to @kellinquinn @matty_best @justinnfjk @tonypizzuti @willyipmusic @mattg00d (Matt mixed the FUCK out of this thing) for being there for me in ways they’ll probably never know. I love you guys 🖤 Hope you all enjoy! We’re just getting started.. TL;DR: New Sirens song is out. Nick is blubbering on & on like a true emo child. He loves his band & producer, yada yada yada..
