“🇩🇴 Gloria-Dania arrived in the U.S. by boat in 1980, making a long journey from the Dominican Republic to Miami. Leonardo came by plane, legally brought over by his mother and grandmother. They met at a construction site, married out of necessity, and built a life together in the Bronx. Gloria worked in a factory before joining the construction industry, while Leonardo hustled as a taxi driver, flipped cars, and worked construction in cycles. In the ’90s, they opened Gloria’s Grocery, but after repeated robberies, they had to shut it down. Leonardo then overheard a conversation about the parking lot business, did his research, and by 1996, the family was hustling parking cars and selling bottled water on 180th & Webster Ave.
As our family grew, so did our journey. Phil was born in 1980, Leo in 1984, Ricardo in 1986, and Juice in 1990. By 1998, we bought our first home at 2083 Bathgate Ave, marking a new chapter. In 2003, our love for sneakers took off. What started as a passion for colorways turned into something much bigger when Juice stumbled upon Flight Club, unknowingly stepping into what would become a lifelong obsession. We started reselling sneakers until 2007, when Leo’s deep involvement in sneaker culture led him to a job as an assistant buyer at Dr. Jay’s. Once he got in, he pulled Juice in too, and we kept elevating each other.
Leo later became a marketing manager at Puma, Juice took the same role at Adidas, and Ricardo joined Jimmy Jazz as their marketing manager. After years in retail and brand marketing, we built something of our own. In 2019, Leo and Juice launched Colorway, while Ricardo started No Company, leveraging the relationships we cultivated over the years. Phil now manages all production logistics for both brands. Today, we work with top brands, leading strategy, experiential marketing, influencer campaigns, and more. We’ve shaped some of the most iconic sneaker moments and built companies that will leave a lasting legacy.” - The Rodríguez Brothers
