3 years ago, I couldn’t touch rim. 6 months ago I was grabbing it Now I’m 5’7 and dunking a tennis ball đŸŽŸ(with T Rex Arms 😂) It wasn’t luck — it was smart training. Strength. Speed. Bounce. Lockdown defense. Built for hoopers who want real results. Comment “GAINS”and I’ll send you the 3-week plan đŸ”„ Let’s work đŸ’„ #basketball #basketballtraining #hooper #athlete #fitness

DGR Belfast Workshop 📾 A little late to the party but what a weekend with some amazing people. Here’s the thing I keep coming back to. Workshops aren’t really about the information you take home and use in your own practice. It’s the people. So many of them run their own thing, online or in person, and they all just put the ego down to be humble, learn, and connect. That’s the part that gets me. Real talk, going to these solo can be intimidating. I still feel it sometimes. But at DGR you never feel left out. Thank you @davidgreyrehab for making this happen again. And if you’re a physio who isn’t following this man yet, what are you doing 🙈 That said, there was some genuinely good work in there too. Will break down a few of the things that stuck with me in the coming posts.

1 on 1 Series: Ep 28 đŸ”„ Low key elbow 1s might be the best 1s Forces you to figure a shot out in tight space and also being creative with your footwork especially with time constraint 👀 Might be a hot take, but what’s your thoughts?

Cleared doesn’t mean READY ❌ STO guessing and START testing. If you’re a thrower or overhead athlete, you need objective data, not a “feeling.” If you can’t hit these numbers, your shoulder isn’t prepared for the load. Period. Save this and run these tests before your next session.

How Dario fixed my deep squat and got rid of my knee locking after meniscus surgery 👀 My knee wasn’t right for months post op. Not sharp pain. Just stuck. Squat had a slight shift at the bottom (which I didn’t realise). Knee felt blocked at times but wasn’t always obvious. We did some assessments and whilst I was hinging, he noticed was that my lower vertebrae wasn’t moving well at the base. So we worked on the sacrum and dissociating the vertebrae in my lower back to restore relative motion. Progressed it into an exercise with less “ground”, then integrated it back into a normal RDL. Then we attacked the hip shift. Foot elevated, hinging properly, elongating through the head and back of the hips. Added a hand reach to load the hamstring while staying conscious of the hip hike. Then a variation reaching my right hand across to the left to stop my hip drifting that way. He never thought the knee was the issue from the assessment and restored the segments above it so my hips could actually load. Shift gone and feeling more confident squatting deep. The knee shows the symptom. The hip and spine above it hold the solution. Only day 2 and can’t wait to learn more đŸ”„đŸ’ȘđŸŒ

The calendar is a lie đŸ—“ïžâŒ Stop clearing athletes based on the date. Two players can have the same surgery and the same timeline, but completely different levels of readiness. Time doesn’t tell you if a shoulder is ready—the data does.

Your squat PR doesn’t care about your 40-yard dash. I see it all the time. Athletes who are absolute units in the gym but can’t translate any of it to the court. They squat heavy, they look strong, but they’re getting beat to every loose ball. What’s your squat-to-sprint ratio looking like?

Playing through pain isn’t a badge of honor, it’s a breakdown waiting to happen. If your knees are screaming after a run on the court, you aren’t just “getting older,” you’re under-prepared. SAVE THIS for your next post-game recovery session and tag a teammate who needs to stop limping off the court đŸ“Č🏀
