There’s something about the eTourism Summit that always manages to bypass the usual conference fatigue. This year felt less like a series of meetings and more like a community coming together to figure out the future of travel at a critical juncture.
Between the high-energy sessions and a field trip to
@churchilldowns , where even B.C. LeDoux was genuinely floored by the sheer power of those thoroughbreds up close, the vibes were 10/10.
It was the perfect backdrop for a huge week for the Noble team.
We’re thrilled to share that we had ETSY Award submissions recognized as finalists, with two major wins!
- Best Data-Driven Marketing Strategy:
@thesfpeninsula . We used data to prove that biotech innovation and ancient redwoods are a world-class match.
- Best Use of Sustainability:
@visitlaketahoe_official . We moved beyond "don't touch" to create a movement of local pride and real-world stewardship.
- Finalists: Big nods for
@shareslo ,
@destinationirvine , and the Visit Lake Tahoe digital experience.
Beyond the awards, Jarrod Lopiccolo had the honor of hosting the International Tourism Panel. A huge thank you to Vaihere Lissant (
@tahititourisme ), Chris Allison (Tourism
@Australia ), and Megan Knott, MBA, CDME (
@VisitKingstonCA ) for a candid look at the state of global travel.
The panel takeaway? The "M" in DMO is officially shifting from Marketing to Management. DMOs are now the stewards of how a destination actually functions, and seeing the room exhale in agreement proved that this shift is exactly what the industry has been waiting for.
To the eTourism Summit organizers: Thank you for putting on a kick-ass event.
