Just so gutted about the passing of Dave Allen. Here’s an ancient video of Dave laying down a bass track on my song, The International back in 1994. I was so lucky to have had him produce my album and far more lucky to have had him as a friend and extended family. The Allens really became a part of the Stones back then, and vice versa. Dave was so joyful, funny, and warm. The regret I feel for letting the past decade or two go by without spending time with him and his family just really sucks. As @paddyfma said to me recently, “Don’t take anything for granted. Love everyone and everything as much as you can, every day.”
