#TBT to walking my first #redcarpet for a private screening of my first film, “Fancy Florez’s Summer Staycation” at the @academymuseum (you know, the organization that puts on the #Oscars). 🙈 Have you ever had one of those days where you are having such a good time you think you’re dreaming and want to pinch yourself to make sure it’s real? 👀 Yeah, that pretty much was what this night felt like from the moment I arrived. It was all so surreal. I walked the red carpet, took a lot of pictures, saw my name on the big screen and even signed autographs. It was so cool. I continue to be so proud to have played “Alex Campos” in this great film written by @marissaconqueso . I can hardly wait for you all to be able to watch @fancyflorezfilm and VOTE for us in @mcdonalds ’ #SpotlightDorado competition. We were told voting opens early in 2024, so #staytuned. But until then, scroll through some of the #behindthescenes fun I had celebrating with not only my cast and crew, but with my family too. It was great reuniting with “Fancy” (aka @skyler_kayy ) and our co-star @thejulianajoel , as well as #MarissaDiaz, our producer @producedbyquan and the whole Fancy familia. It was also really cool meeting some of the Spotlight Dorado mentors, like @danaygarcia1 , the team from #McDonalds who makes #SpotlightDorado happen and the cast and crews from the other two finalist films. Congrats to everyone for doing a great job with your films. I feel like we are all winners. No matter who officially wins, I will never forget this whole experience and can’t wait to be on set again sometime soon. 🏈✨ End of Season Celebration! ✨🏈 Noah wrapped up an incredible season playing Junior Pee Wee D1 football with Corona Chargers JAAF! 🙌 This season, he showed his grit and determination by playing both offense and defense in every game. 💪 Despite being one of the smallest on the field, Noah never let size hold him back—he played BIGGER than all of his opponents, often forcing double teams to stop him! 🔥 All his hard work, dedication, and heart earned him the Best Offensive Player award this season. 🏆 We’re so proud of his resilience and passion for the game. A special thanks to the amazing coaches and staff who supported Noah every step of the way. It’s been over a year since *Fancy Florez’s Summer Staycation* wrapped, and almost a year since @fancyflorezfilm premiered—yet here we are, still riding high, winning at festivals and representing! 🎬✨ I’m beyond grateful for this journey. 💪🏽 So proud to share that this weekend we took home *Best Film* at the @eastlafilmfestival , and our incredible director Marissa Diaz won the first-ever *Homegirl Award*! 💥 @marissaconqueso winning this #HomegirlAward is a glimpse of the leader she truly is—grinding every day, inspiring all of us, and carrying our culture with pride. Meeting #Texas Congressman @joaquincastrotx at the “Blood In, Blood Out” 30th anniversary screening, co-hosted by amazing cousin and manager @xoxolizza , is a day I’ll never forget. 💯 Not only did I get to meet members of the original cast, the director #TaylorHackford and writer @jimmysantiagobacapoet , but I got to hear some cool #behindthescenes stories and meet other super fans of the film like Congressman Castro. 🙏🏽 It’s incredible to see Congressman Castro championing this cult classic for induction into the #NationalFilmRegistry. Despite its reputation, #BloodInBloodOut isn’t just about violence; it teaches us about family, loyalty, redemption and the consequences of our choices. 👀 There is a reason this film still makes an impact across generations and deserves to be in the National Film Registry, which “ensures the survival, conservation, and increased public availability of America’s film heritage.”🙌🏽 Latino films of all genres deserve to be celebrated and this one is at the top of my list! Today we celebrated our Noah Noah at his 6th grade promotion. Our baby is growing up and on to Middle School. He received the Presidential Honor Award for his achievement receiving straight A’s since 4th grade as well as a 4 Exceeding Standards in the CAASP. Noah also received the Rotary Award for Outstanding Achievement and Highest Honors for another trimester of straight A’s. We are so proud of him for all his hard work but most importantly for staying balanced and humble while being just a normal kid. We love you @noahsantiagoduarte Si Se Puede!🫶🏻
