My heart is full. Today in CBD after a meeting, I had the chance to spend close to an hour with Ian and Victor—two young men who approached me with warm smiles and an even warmer story.
Ian, a student of Education Arts, is currently out of school due to lack of fees. But instead of giving up, he chose to rise—through the lens of a camera. With no formal training, he’s taught himself photography. Together with four friends, they form a small team that rents a camera and captures moments to earn a living.
Sometimes, they can’t even afford fare to town. They even rely on the kindness of customers to hotspot them just so they can transfer photos.
Such resilience. Such determination. Truly inspiring. Encounters like these give me even more energy to wake up go, to work and push the agenda even more. Next time you see them give them a chance and let them take a shot. 💛📸 #

He makes my life in monitor world easier by ensuring all packs are synced, batteries are ok, earpieces are well fit and working, ME1 patches are done. Though he always runs anytime there is a camera. What a weekend. God aligns you to meet people in different seasons of your life. I thank God for @mannu_baldmann My journey into monitor world has been pushed to limits since we met. This weekend was the greatest with 40 IEM packs concurrently on stage. What a learning experience. To many more. One of the biggest hurdles faced during recordings is noise elimination. Ground loops are a major cause of noise, hum, and interference in audio. Investing in good quality cables and DI Boxes can help in noise isolation. I have reverted to using @kirlincable and @img_stageline products sourced all the way from @thomann.music Its definitely worth the effort and trouble. I use Kirlin AP-405PR dual patch cable to connect all my stereo sound sources paired with an IMG DIB-102 Stereo DI Box. The difference is quite evident.
