I spent the past weeks in Morocco sharing a piece of my film in development. Showing it in the Medina, with the care and trust of @darbellarj & @cin.etoiles meant a lot to me. These places truly hold culture.
The conversation I hoped for between the diaspora and those who dream of the West happened. You could feel how urgent it is, for all of us.
My cousins are at the heart of this film. These fifteen days reminded me how essential the development stage is, and how much the people you walk with matter.
Grateful, deeply, to everyone close and far. The story is no longer mine alone 🫶🏽

When I saw the Gen Z protests in Morocco (+212), I went straight back to the footage I’d filmed with my cousin. That moment in the streets brought everything back : the questions, the reflections.
Our film isn’t finished yet, but it already feels like a conversation. It’s about belonging and how the diaspora finds its place in a changing motherland that often exclude its population.
Like I said in my reel: once you hear the truth, you can’t unhear it.
