being a mom is my greatest accomplishment.
life is so much better with you in it.
my favorite person in the world, only person I could never stay mad at. grateful for his nurturing spirit even tho he thinks he’s my dad. wouldn’t trade it ever.
Honoring the visionaries of Leimert Park ⛲️
These are people I’ve known for over 15yrs. Who I learned from, who I was mentored by, people who’ve turned into family. So happy to see them get their flowers. 🖤
You’re invited to the opening night and mixer for Echoes of Resistance, featuring works by Kalynn Youngblood.
Fri, Feb 20, 2026 from 6-9pm
This exhibition (on display at nina Atwater from Feb 13-28) presents cyanotype works that explore protest, memory, and resilience within Black history.
Using one of photography’s earliest processes, Kalynn transforms images of resistance and everyday strength into deep blue impressions that connect past and present. Rather than focusing on spectacle, the works highlight the quiet power of collective presence and lived experience.

“These are photos from my grandparents’ wedding in South Central, LA. My grandmother, Sandra Pamplin, was pregnant with my mother at the time. This also includes group photos with my aunts and great-grandparents. These photos mean the world to me, because it was a time I never experienced, and seeing my family at their prime young ages brings me joy. It’s also beautiful to see my grandmother, as she passed away just 9 years after this. ‘September, 1971.” - Submission by Kalynn @nnylak & @nnylak.tiff
