Joe and I had a SUCH a nice date at New Mexico Wine Studio in Old Town this weekend! 🍷🥂 *swipe!*
We started at the Interactive Wine Table by Ideum. This table, when paired with your wine’s special coaster, gamifies the wine tasting experience, challenging you to identify flavors and notes and then comparing them to the winemakers assessment. 🎮 It was really fun - even when we were waaaay off compared to the makers. 😂 (We did better on the white wines than the reds!)

After that, we moved to a more traditional wine tasting with Marketing Director and Wine Curator, Max Lichtfuss as our thoughtful guide.

I love visiting wineries but NM Wine Studio is unique - they offer a large number of New Mexico local wines all in one shop. 😮
We learned so much about the different wines and wineries as we sipped - the stories and histories of each maker, the origin on the grapes (NM has such a large variation in elevations and temperatures = large variety of grapes!), and all of it was told with such care.

It was a terrific experience and we definitely plan to go back.
😏 I specifically look forward to taking my Dad there next time he’s visiting from the midwest. Last time I took him to a local winery, he was SHOCKED to know we have a wine scene. “Hey, this is actually good!” 😆
