Did you know that early voting at Madison College opened TODAY?⦠š³ļø
Two of our officers, Treasurer Kai Brito and Secretary Nevaeh Jackson-Winters hit the poles this morning and checked blue down all the way! š
Jackson-Winters says that they voted for Harris Walz because they care about our eduction system, unlike Trump Vance.
Jackson-Winters had an IEP throughout high school which helped them succeed, and they want that opportunity to be available to other students in the future! Having the extra support of an IEP led Jackson-Winters to better manage their ADHD and anxiety throughout school.
Brito says that he voted for Harris Walz because of their empathy and morals.
Brito said, āFor me, it really comes down to common decency. Which candidate is going to act like a decent human being, and inspire fellow Americans to be better and take our nation into the future? The answer is indisputable: Vice President Kamala Harris.
Iām sure that thereās policy that you might disagree with for Kamala, but thereās a reason that a number of Republicans are switching sides and not only voting for Kamala, but they are even endorsing her. Kamala might not have the perfect answer to everything, but I trust her to make the right decision once she is leading the nation.
We canāt lose sight of the good in pursuit of the perfect. In order to make something better we have to choose good, moral characters like Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to bring our divided country together again.ā
You can early vote this week just like these two officers! The poles are open at Truax from October 28th to November 1st, 11:00-3:30. At Goodman South theyāre open at the same dates and times. For more Madison polling locations, check out cityofmadison.com!
