Yesterday our Foundation Year students showcased their final projects! 👏
The showcase featured crop monitoring systems, renewable energy ideas, smart attendance technology, assistive prosthetics, sustainable water filtration systems, and more - all developed around real-world challenges and practical engineering.
Industry partner Haygrove also attended the event, following work connected to the sustainability and agricultural engineering challenges explored throughout the module.
Ami’s plant monitoring system, which sends live soil and air condition data directly to a user’s phone, was voted Best Project by attendees. Bear received the Most Valuable Person award through peer voting aligned with NMITE’s core values, alongside presenting a self-sustaining aquarium filtration system using plants and aggregates.
A huge well done to all of our students and staff involved 👏

Last month, we visited @nmite.ac Skylon Campus to speak with BSc Construction Management students about the role of airtightness in modern construction 🏗️
Thanks to our colleague Jack Howard for leading the session and sharing his expertise 👏🏻
Great to combine technical discussion with hands-on learning using vapour control membranes on timber 🏠🌿
Thanks to NMITE for having us!🙌🏻

Congratulations Class of 2026! 🎓
A day celebrating hard work, resilience, friendships, and everything our graduates achieved during their time at NMITE! Following the success of previous cohorts, the vast majority of this year’s graduates have already secured skilled roles with industry employers.
Thank you to everyone who joined us to make the day so memorable.
Here are a few moments from Graduation Day at Hereford Cathedral 👆

Today’s the day! 🎓
We are gathering in the Hereford Cathedral today for the graduation of our Class of 2026 - a moment to celebrate their hard work, the challenges, and everything it took for them to get here.
While today marks the end of their time at NMITE, many are already stepping into the next stage. Following in the footsteps of previous cohorts, the vast majority have already secured skilled roles in industry.
We’re proud of everything they’ve achieved and excited to see what comes next.
Can't be here with us? You can watch the live stream of the graduation through the link in our bio!

Another hidden gem inside Hereford Cathedral! 🎼
This organ was the first of its kind, designed with a completely new engineering approach that forever changed how organs were built.
Want to know what made it so different? Hear Dr. Mo Sayed, Associate Professor of Engineering at NMITE, explain what makes these organs so special.
And tomorrow, this cathedral will once again be filled with NMITE students as we celebrate our Graduation Ceremony! 🎓

New photos just in of our Centre for Innovation and Future Skills, shared by @arborarchitects 👀
The walls are now plastered and it’s starting to feel like a real building.
We're getting closer... Watch this space!

Hereford might be one of the UK’s smaller cities, but it’s home to a cathedral with nearly 1,000 years of history! ⛪️
Our cathedral is hiding a 700-year-old map, a library where books are chained to the shelves and hosts various events - take a closer look 👀

Running London Marathon for Cancer research! 🏃🏻♂️🧪
NMITE student Stephen has successfully finished London marathon dressed as a giant baby to raise money for Children with Cancer UK to help fund life-saving research and support for children and their families.
Steve said: "It was a brilliant experience, but i was sore afterwards! There were a lot of people raising money for great causes so was a very feel good day. The atmosphere and crowd in London were so good by the end i was elated! Running 26.2 miles hurt tremendously, but it’s nothing compared to what these kids go through everyday. So I’ll keep running as long as you keep supporting!"
We are so proud of Stephen for running and fundraising for science! You can still support Steve's run - check the link in bio!
