@nmilfeld started with a little leg movement after her SCI and kept exploring what was possible to get HERE.
Now she has to listen to me nit-pick every single joint movement 😂
There’s purpose though!! That attention to detail has gotten her to this point! And it will continue to allow her to strengthen beyond needing assistive devices to get a functional gait pattern.

9 months of progress from my L2 paragliding accident that left me paralyzed from the waist down. From walker to crutches, KAFO to AFO, and even ankle movement in all directions! On March 8, 2025, I crashed while landing my paraglider. I burst fractured L2, fractured my heel, and blew out my right knee. I had three surgeries-spinal fusion, heel stabilization, and emergency abdominal surgery-in 2 days. Here's the first chapter of my story. In less than a week, @cedarwright begins Sufferfest 3, the @xpyrrace . Starting Sunday, Cedar will race with the best across the Pyrenees using only his paraglider and legs (or as @alexhonnold would say, only his hands and feet). For the past 7 years, Cedar has been chasing the sky crack hard with over 100 100km flights, two Colorado records, and above all, having amazing adventures with friends along the way. After climbing for 16 years, I decided to try something new! My brother and I were obsessed as kids with flight and I’ve been known to obsessively watch ✈️ takeoff and landing videos…so it was only a matter of time before I tried piloting an aircraft of my own 🤓. Listening to parababble by @cedarwright for the past 6 years didn’t help either 😜. I got my p2 last January from @eagleparagliding and have loved every moment of being an absolute beginner. Excited to continue my learning and progression in 2022!
