New Mission, on Friday it’s Day Of Silence to spread awareness of the effects of bullying, harassment, and killings of LGBTQ+ students. LGBTQ+ students report greater rates of substance use, suicidal thoughts, and feeling unsafe and uncomfortable. We hope this will bring attention to schools and communities to become more inclusive. No one will be able to talk during the day, and teachers will also join.
This is a very important day for our school because it hasn’t been done in a few years, so we must be respectful.

Every year, Anton's Cleaners runs a fantastic program that gives high school students free secondhand prom dresses. If you would like the opportunity to receive a FREE prom dress please let Rob or another senior teacher/counselor know so they can submit a referral on your behalf. This should be done ASAP!
