Athena Prime Rewind gives you versatility in one lens set, letting you move from vintage character to modern clarity just by stopping down. Wide open at T1.9, the spherical-aberration character softens fine detail and adds a gentle halo that’s perfect for mood-driven moments. As you stop down through T2.8 and into T5.6, the image tightens and sharpens into a clean, modern rendering.
Color stays neutral and consistent too, with Rewind matching the standard Athena look in side-by-side tests. When you want more personality, Rewind delivers signature bubble bokeh on the 50mm at T1.9, retained barrel distortion across the set for a classic wide-angle feel, and expressive flares with a refined golden-leaning character.
