Africa has stories.
The question is, who gets to tell them?
We’re building a network of African creators shaping how our stories are seen, heard, and understood globally.
If you’re ready to be part of that, apply.

Until yesterday, when my team @ninthgrid__ posted a video about my work schedule, a lot of people reached out to me and said I should rest.
And honestly, I understand where they’re coming from. But I also think there’s a phase in life where you may have to put in some unhealthy hours to achieve the kind of results you want.
That said, I’m not saying people shouldn’t rest. Rest is productive too.
Sometimes, the best thing you can do for yourself is to pause and recover.
Beyond the video, I’ve also put measures in place to rest. For example, on most weekends, I don’t work unless it’s absolutely necessary. I try to completely disconnect from work when I can.
So yes, rest is important. Rest is productive. Please rest.
Creatives deserve to make real money from their work and that is why we’re having an honest conversation about monetizing visual work in Africa with people actually doing it.
If you’re a photographer, designer, filmmaker, illustrator, or creative trying to figure out the business side of things, this space is for you
