Some BTS of @danlumia and @melizzagrace weddingā™„ļø Thank you both for letting me be part of your wedding party! It was such an honour to be a part of your big day, and I’m so thankful to have been part of each other’s lives for over 25 years now! It’s been so wonderful seeing your relationship grow stronger and stronger over the years, and you both really are perfect for eachother 🄹

Yes, I know we’re a week in to April already, but I just thought of this post, okay?! March was a busy one! Heading into it, I was a bit worried as I only had a few bookings, but half of the months shoots ended up being last minute! I guess the silver lining of doing this full time means I can be flexible (which is why I just shot an event on Easter Sunday šŸ˜…) The next two months will look a bit different, since I’ll be back in Canada for most of it, so look out for some snaps from the motherland šŸ

Call me naive, but I didn’t realize wedding mornings would be something I’d enjoy shooting so much! I was asked to document Claire getting ready for her big day, and it turned out to be a morning full of beautiful details, beautiful light, and a beautiful family. Congratulations to Claire and Kirby! šŸŽŠ

This is how I rig my car for the male gaze ✨ I can’t believe it’s been almost two months since our incredible Tasmania trip! Along with the immense natural beauty and wildlife, one of my highlights may have been all the compliments, double takes, and conversations started by people who liked our little rig šŸ˜… I had spent the few months leading up to our trip rigging our little Forester up with: • Custom made roof platform • Custom wing mounted fuel and water cans • @stedi_lighting light bars on the rack and grille • @darcheoutdoorgear 180Āŗ Eclipse awning • @caosgear 83L storage box • Dune 4WD roof top tent • @altiq_au Spectrum Pro lights on the rack The rig held up beautifully over three weeks of touring Tassie, and looked particularly šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼ at the top of šŸ“Jacob’s Ladder, Ben Lomond National Park

Yesterday’s session was a scorcher, but that’s what happens when you COOKšŸ”„ I had a great time capturing these two, despite the need for a literal sweat towel on set with us šŸ˜… Anybody else out there shooting in this heatwave? Or is it just me 🫠

Seven days into the new year, three days back to civilization, and I’m settling into my new normal. Looking back at 2025, it’s been one of the most challenging years I can remember. I went in with the intention of putting my head down and grinding, saving up annual leave and money to get married by the end of it. But life had other plans. We spent the year dealing with Dumpling’s cancer, and I was let go twice. Through it all, though, I finally felt a sense of community from the wonderful people who supported me. We disappeared for three weeks, traveling around Tasmania. After a solid and mindful reset, I’ve come out of it with the goal of taking control in 2026. So much of my wellbeing and security was hinged on other people’s decisions. So for the foreseeable future, I’m all in on carving my own path. Anyways, here’s Cradle Mountain at sunset āœŒšŸ¼

How does this keep happening to me? I’ve now found myself unemployed right before the holidays, and right before two big trips that have been in the works for a while now, and at a time where no one is hiring. So I’m trying to book some shoots for the new year to tide me over. If you want to see more work or want to send someone my way, go to nineteen.is/unemployed (link in my bio) or send this to someone that may be interested! šŸ™šŸ» Thank you so much for your support

I start work on Monday, so why not host Friendsgiving for 15 people the day before? Watch me prep my apple pie, horchata, roast carrots, roast and mashed potatoes, and stuffing over the next two days. On top of replacing some groceries from our fridge failing and two photo shoots with a next day turnaround šŸ™ƒ

On Sunday, we said goodbye to our beautiful Dumpling after she battled cancer for the past seven months. She was my first cat, and looking back on the 13+ years I was lucky enough to have her in my life, I realized how many different chapters of myself she witnessed. She lived with me in Brampton while I was in uni, flew across Canada to live with me in two places in Victoria, then Ottawa, back to Brampton, to Toronto, and then finally flew across the world to join us in Canberra. Everyone thinks their pet is the best and special, but Dumpling truly was. She was loved by so many of my friends and family and had an unmatched ability to turn anyone who watched her into a cat person. Three cats were adopted from shelters into loving homes after their owners cat-sat Dumpling for us—that’s the kind of effect she had. It’s impossible to imagine life without our little one. My favourite memories will always be of you watching the clock strike 7pm for dinner time, your endearing head-tilts when charming me into sharing ice cream, and climbing onto our laps at every opportunity to cuddle, whether on the couch, in bed, or in the kitchen while I cooked. I’ll miss being greeted at the door when we got home, seeing your face light up in the window as we pulled up, your unique high-pitched purr and silent meows, and the way your lips would adorably snag on your gums because of your mysteriously missing teeth. The last seven months have been challenging and exhausting—keeping up with her vet appointments, medication, her constant accidents around the house, and her declining appetite. But I would continue doing it all if it meant she were healthy and in our lives a little longer. If you’ve got a fur-baby, hold them a little bit longer tonight for us. Appreciate all the light and joy they bring to your life, and show them how much you love them. We will miss you forever, Sugar Dumplingā™„ļø

Definitely did not finish the roof rack this week šŸ˜… I ended up being quite busy, thanks to the kindness of my community. People I’ve known for years and even just a few weeks have reached out and offered me work, and I’ve been so so appreciative šŸ™ŒšŸ¼ā™„ļø

A pretty boring day, but they can’t all be bangers, right? This is mostly me being harassed by Miso any time I’m at my desk šŸˆā€ā¬› Also not shown is me trying my hand as a photo retoucher!
