When we found this 1880s homemade workshirt pattern, we knew we had to honor its rugged ingenuity. So we kept its one-piece back, the single needle stitch, and the 1/2 low placket that sits almost at waist length - features that were not only practical for home making at the time, but also resistant to the strains of roping and riding done by its wearer.
We chose a tougher 8oz chambray to give this shirt that utilitarian feel, that ages beautifully and holds its shape. Finished with pearl buttons on the placket and cuffs for a touch of modern elegance.
The Sawtooth Shirt in desert drab HBT, our nod to the old military and railway uniforms worn and repurposed by veterans after returning to a life on the land.
A tighter and denser cloth gives this shirt an utilitarian feel that ages beautifully with time. We stayed true to the western spirit with the double button barrel cuffs and sawtooth flap pockets, single-needle stitched throughout for a touch of elegance within its ruggedness.
As we come near the end of 2025, we’d like to say a big thank you for those who has supported us so far. We are currently working on a few more new shirts and we’re looking forward to brining them live in the new year. Our first batch of shirts almost sold out, restocking Jan 2026.
It took us all the way to the Nishiwaki area in Japan in finding the perfectly soft, lightly washed flannel. Like they have been lived in for decades, our Cattleman shirt is characterised by the speckled, textured nep flannel that gives it a unique, worn-in feel.
