Annual Pride month thoughts incoming…
As I get older, I feel more and more comfortable owning things we’ve done well. While I’m grateful to the universe for placing
@nikvoon in my line of sight, everything from that first connection on a dating app has been lots of solid intention, purpose and work/effort that I once would bashfully and humbly attribute to ‘luck’.
This pride (like I do everyday), I celebrate everything we’ve built over the last 10 years, our ridiculously firm foundation of an open relationship, our blended families and friends,
@lunamoontheloon and our fairy godchild
@seraphine.ohime.sama , the fact that we can celebrate each others’ successes and support each other when we’re down and out. We’re connected but not tethered to each other. My existence doesn’t hinge on his (vice versa) - we are our own Suns. We have the space to love each other madly and find each other annoying (both can be true, sometimes even in the same breath).
We’re not lucky, we just got exactly what/who we each deserve, and that’s more than most people would ever get doing things the way society expects them to. We’re different, we do things differently, and that’s why we have what we have. I can only hope people find the sense of self to march to the beat of their own hearts.
Thanks
@nikvoon for being on this wild ride with me. We’re killing it (or each other).
