no person is ever truly one thing. you’re more than your job, your relationship, your accomplishments past and future. my wife is the best example of this - someone who is a great mom, while also being so many things to so many of us, and yet great at it all. this past year plus has showed me just how fortunate tyler is simply because of all the moms in the world, he has @beafabregas .
the world becomes frightening the moment you become a parent. you just want all good things all the time for your kids. i’m so grateful our son has the best mom, who’s also the best at all the other things she pours her heart and mind into. i fear less for goose, for me, for us - because how could i ever have room for a gloomy thought when you shine your light on us so brightly?
happy mothers’ day to the goat. may all little boys and girls be so lucky to feel the love you love goosey with ❤️

two years ago, @jonrodrigu3z gave me an expired roll of film.
we took it to Indy for ASW and wished for the best.
tried getting it developed a couple times but no one wanted to take it on. im grateful @ellafabregas didn’t give up and actually found someone who was willing to bring this roll to life!

It’s officially been a year and I’ve been thinking a lot about those last few days in Manila, the first few in Oregon and the trip that moved us around the world. It all felt like a trippy dream - too many things happening in too little time, too many details to track and not enough hands to get to them all. What a time.
In so many ways, you got us here because you didn’t hesitate - to support, to sacrifice, to set us off on an adventure we didn’t really have a plan for. Even in moments when it seemed like it might have been too hard, it was easy because me and Goose have you. Happy 1 year of realizing home is wherever we’re together, @beafabregas . You’re all the sunlight i need lol. ☀️
It was a weird feeling to be leaving Manila to head “home” to Portland. Thank you Philippine Airlines for extending our trip for a couple more hours. After all, you don’t really leave the Philippines until you’ve stepped off your @flypal flight 🥹❤️
