Your body will tell you when there is a shift, when the world and life you have built is naturally changing course.
Listening to and leaning into that uncomfortable feeling is not easy. It can be confusing and scary! For so long I felt I was stuck. I wasn’t stuck. I was in transition.
We live in a change obsessed but transition naive era. It took me a long time to understand the difference.
15 years ago I moved to Singapore in the middle of a global financial crisis, leaving a stable job in New York City to begin again half way across the world with no work lined up and nowhere to live. My gut told me it was time.
Fast forward and I’ve done it again! …Just with a bit more cushion and a husband to share the adventure with! This time, it’s Zurich!
And just as I did 15 years ago- I’ve recognised that I am in transition. If you don’t honour that you are changing, you can lose out on the huge potential for growth.
You don’t have to move continents to work through transition but for centuries people who were entering a new chapter or rite of passage, often took to quiet and unfamiliar places to do the deep work. Switzerland is personal to me.
My hope is that very soon, I can help others truly maximise the gifts that come from embracing and understanding the internal process we often choose to ignore…because nobody likes the messy middle. But every ending symbolises a beginning. Let it in.

As you could probably already tell this was shot in the Covid era for STB (Singapore Tourism Board) when we were just coming out of lockdown at home. Looking back, we can only feel grateful that we got out the other side, a little scarred yes, a little damaged yes, but still alive and still fighting. ☺️💪🏻
