The past decade or so of life has brought adventure, heaps of blessings, and so many lessons. In 2017, I moved from Indiana to California to pursue Jiu-Jitsu professionally. I trained with one of the best teams in the world and competed all over the world, in almost every ruleset. I turned Jiu-Jitsu from a hobby into a career. Then, 2.5 years ago, I moved from California to Virginia with the goals of growing my skills as a coach and deepening my understanding of Jiu-Jitsu.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned on this journey is to embrace change. Change will come whether you want it to or not, and a willingness to adapt and be open has brought me some of the greatest blessings. Now, entering 2026, I’m on the cusp of some very exciting life changes. Life feels scary and uncertain, but I also feel a renewed sense of purpose and confidence that the best is yet to come. ❤️
