March 13, 2026 — here to report on @thekeithroenke birthday that this man has done it again and continues to get better with age. (Honestly, it’s suspicious at this point.) If you catch me out here acting fully delulu and doing things that seem wildly out of my reach (i.e. singing acoustically in front of a crowd or training for my first Hyrox) just know it’s because this man hypes me up so much that I start believing I can do absolutely anything. At the same time, he somehow keeps me grounded with the calmest energy and strength through this very chaotic, terrifying world while taking care of his family, friends and community.
When I asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday, this man said: a beach walk with me and @choppycheesypup . Just a beach walk. How annoying is that? So inconvenient for this Leo who would prefer to scream from the mountaintops about how incredible he is and how much fun and joy-filled lifing with him is! But apparently we’re doing “peaceful beach walk vibes,” so this social media post will have to serve as my pomp and circumstance.
Everyone please put on your favorite overalls today and help me wish, my favorite person in the whole world —The man who can rock overalls, a mustache and a suede vest (sometimes all at the same time) a very happy birthday. 🎉

I directed this piece back in 2022 for @delta and Sharecare, and I remember being so sad when she had to withdraw that year. Our convo about mental health and LGBTQ+ representation still resonates today and seeing her out there now, 4 years later is truly a full circle moment. Inspired by her in every way.

I really wanted to be better about sharing work and keeping this platform profesh this year… but @choppycheesypup came into our lives and my whole camera roll became primarily content of him. It’s been a juggle with our insane schedules but we are so grateful to our community of ChopCare who help watch our little bud. 🐶🫶 here’s to more delicious puppy content in 2026!
Yesterday we laid to rest Queen Josefina Guaty, our sweet Awita.🤍
She should have been a movie star. My love of old Hollywood comes from her. She showed me Gilda at a young age and introduced me to Rita Hayworth. she was convinced the lyric were “put to bay, mamey boys” instead of “put the blame on me, boys.” And when I worked at Sleep No More, I chose the name Josefine because I couldn’t think of a classier person from the 40s to embody.
She was hilarious and had a touch of schadenfreude. If you fell or hurt yourself in a funny (never serious) way, she would laugh and laugh, then hug and kiss you. And I fully believed the ongoing family joke that Elizabeth Taylor was her best friend for the first 16 years of my life.
She was kind and gentle, but fierce. She taught me how to sew and knit, and if something wasn’t straight or done correctly, she would undo the WHOLE thing and make me do it again: “Hazlo bien o no lo hagas.”
She had the love of her life—her leading man, her own Clark Gable, only funnier. Growing up with grandparents who were soulmates spoiled me. I waited and searched for a love like theirs because I knew it was possible to fall in love with your best friend. Losing her is heartbreaking, but knowing she’s reunited with him brings comfort.
She was my soul twin. In high school, someone told me that everyone in your life now has been in your life before, just in another role. The first person I thought of was her as my twin. I told her and she gave me the biggest smile and she said, “I think so too.” From then on, we always called each other Soul Twin.
She was MY Awita. But I now zoom out and see she was everyone’s Awita. She nurtured every relationship she had to the fullest—that was simply who she was, and honestly, who I hope to be. I know I will miss her forever. My Awita, our Awita—a movie star among us. Que descanse en paz. 🕊️
