• I recently transitioned to digital art and finally invested in necessary equipment and guidance. Hands down the best decision I’ve made!
• Traditionally, I’m trained in watercolours and picked up gouache and acrylic on my own
• Although I’m working and studying related to advertising, social media and market research, I would like to grow artistically in diverse mediums alongside!

This has been one of my favourite shows to watch and I might sound corny but I genuinely felt so full of hope and optimism when I’d tune into the show. Watching the creators shape the narrative and how fun community was I’m going to miss it so much. I’m going to miss the lady who self inserts her character in the show, the lady who makes life sized Alan plushies, the crochet community of the fandom, the animation and comix community of the fandom. God I love the show and I just wanted to do my bit of fanart for the community. Thank you @michaelrcusack and Zach Hadel. There’s a gaping hole in my heart and I haven’t felt this attached to a show in a hot minute. I LOVE SMILING FRNDS and I wish I was in nyc to get their official merch 😓. Things beyond my wildest dreams have happened this year, time to raise my ante for wildest dreams 💃🏾
- met ria chopra + talked her about her kommune report, amaze talk.
- got to work on dream event aka opn art house. Seeing my copy in tangible form changed something in me. So cool. (foreshadow for my next job)
- signed up for a small business stall, which was apparently an entrepreneur design competition and won ??
- got to watch a mutual friend's play and write a review on it for my job. Wow crazy
- bought anc headphones. Best purchase of the year hands down, goodbye over stimulation
- left my dream job to explore more
- applied to another dream job
- got the job
- got invited to a queer party by social ketchup as a queer creative. Unreal.
- met more cool mentors who told me kind things at the right time
- got my name featured in my college rankers wall for topping my course

In the midst of AI slop conversation, I wanted to post this last year’s commission work that I did. I didn’t know much about the latest TS work, my little sister helped me putting the references, I spent hours curating the moodboard and feel for this portrait. Meanwhile, @kalingad_dynasty and I had multiple conversations regarding what this piece meant to him, where did it come from, I know so many lovely things about the person I’ve illustrated!
I’ll always be grateful for folks who not just engage but also become patrons of your art! Each one of my commissioned peeps are actually some of my closest friends now! AI couldn’t give me that ever! 💌🫂

One of the badtober prompts was to draw a man and the most befitting one seemed my dear college friend. Something about their face has always mesmerised me and continues to do so. From drawing their gouache portrait to now doing it digitally, from catching up in college’s English club to now exploring our own queer pathways, both the parties have come a long way in their craft and identity, for better. I’m so glad that they trusted me with this. This has been one of my favourite art process in a long time. Can’t wait to update this portrait soon :’))
