Are we LIVE?
We're excited to be working on a series of film projects that highlight our vibrant local vinyl community in special spaces throughout DC (more details to come). These aren't intended to be 'parties' but temporary pop-ups in public and private spots that celebrate the people and spaces that make up our vinyl village.
For our first event, we're excited to partner with @decibelmusicllc for a free in-store session this Saturday with some of our close friends. We've assembled a stacked line-up of wax worshipers and our friend @tommy_pickles99 is back to cap the night off. Decibel will be offering special deals on certain records and those who RSVP will be eligible for some in-store promotions.
We'll have some free light refreshments available and plenty of records to buy and dance to.

This month's edition of WHPK's residency at the California Clipper is a special one. We're excited to host DMV talents Tromac and Hunch for the first stop on their Her Majesty Tour, with DC-based WHPK alum Nikolo supporting.
Born and raised in Prince George County, Tromac got his start in the DC-Baltimore scene but has been making waves around the Northeast. He's recently been playing regular gigs in NYC at Jupiter Disco, Bossa Nova Civic Club, Mood Ring, and making regular appearances on The Lot Radio.
Hunch is another Maryland-based talent whose collaboration with Tromac has been turning heads. Together, they blend the distinctive Baltimore club sound with that signature go-go influenced DC dance music that's impossible not to move to. Their joint EP "MOVEMENT" dropped in summer 2024 under Hochi Runs, with their focus track "Her Majesty" catching fire in DJ circles.
Supporting them is Nikolo, a DC-based DJ and producer who first cut his teeth on WHPK 88.5 FM as an undergrad at UChicago. After relocating to DC, he established himself in the local scene by launching the "Andale" party series and becoming a regular fixture at events like Feral and Hunch's own Hochi Runs. Expect to see WHPK's ex-station manager Deano jump in for some casual b2b action throughout the night, reminiscent of their old college radio days... special thanks to @_xo80oooi1q991 for the flyer
