Four months into our new Lawson Street studio, and it’s safe to say we’ve settled in nicely.
Behind the scenes, we've been quietly busy working on several exciting projects we can’t wait to share with you soon. 📸: @nancyzhoh
We’re back, well rested, inspired and ready for an exciting year ahead! 2026 is looking full of design, new materiality, collaboration and beautiful interiors.
The Nightworks team is officially logging off this week for the holidays. Thank you to our valued customers for their support throughout the year: it’s been a privilege to create lighting for the spaces that matter to you. Wishing you a restful break, a safe summer, and a very merry Christmas. We’ll see you in the new year!
We’re delighted to introduce Harriet, our Sales Account Manager and one of the first voices you’ll hear when exploring lighting for your project.
With a background shaped by a genuine appreciation for interior design, Harriet brings a thoughtful, detail-led approach to every conversation. She understands the subtleties of materials, spaces, and the demands of fast-moving projects—and she knows how to translate these into clear, confident guidance.
Beyond the studio, Harriet is known for her impeccable taste. She's the friend who can spot a great Marketplace find from a mile away and always knows exactly where to eat, no matter the neighbourhood.
As gifts gather under the tree and holiday plans start to firm up, we wanted to share our Christmas shutdown period. Nightworks Studio will be closed from Thursday 18 December, reopening on Monday 5 January. Our team will be taking a well-earned break over this time, and any enquiries received during the closure will be answered as soon as we’re back in the studio.
La~De~Da over the dining table, Tasman Triple above the kitchen island: united by a matching finish. In this light-filled Christchurch home, our pendants settle in with purpose, drawing the rooms together while giving each space its own character.
That’s the strength of the Nightworks range: considered pieces designed to work in quiet harmony.

Every studio needs an anchor. Someone who holds its vision steady while allowing creativity to move freely. For Nightworks, that’s Kiri, our sole director.
A trained graphic designer who began her career in Australia, Kiri approaches leadership as she does design: with clarity and care. Since the beginning in 2010, she’s guided the studio’s evolution with quiet assurance.
Her journey from graphic to product and lighting design reflects a commitment to interdisciplinary creativity and a deep love for design that lives and breathes in real spaces.
Melbourne remains a place of inspiration, fuelling her passion for design, architecture, dining, and hidden-bar discoveries.

Every piece that leaves our studio carries more than design; it reflects the craft of those who made it.
Our team brings together product, graphic, textile, and architectural designers. This mix of complementary skills shapes the way we approach each Nightworks product.
As a result, each piece is built with care and finished by hand—our lighting is made for spaces where every detail counts.
Light, material, detail. James from @semi_creative shares how collaboration, intuition, and a careful eye for the subtle touches turn every project—from homes to hospitality spaces—into places that don’t just look good, but feel right. From the way light hits a surface to a hidden timber cabinet that surprises, it’s the small moments that make a big impact.
