After years without building Mocs, I finally found some motivation to build again. This time, I went back to my roots and buildt something related to World War two. This will likely be my last build for a while again. Thank you!
Battle of Falaise. August 1944
.
12th August 1944. The german 7th army is trapped in a pocket at Falaise by allied forces. After 9 days of brutal fights, most of the german soldiers surrendered. At the end of the day over 18.000 people are dead. 50.000 have been taken as war prisoners.

Battle of Orscha 1943-44.

Orscha situated near the river Dnjepr was an important strategic target for the german army group center. The attack on the surroundings of Orscha started in late summer 1943. But several events diffuculted the succses. The temperatures in early autumn where extremly low. The first snow fell when some trees had not even lost all their leaves. All troughout the winter, heavy battles demanded extemly high cassulties especially on the Red Armys side. Their losses were over 10 times higher than from the Wehrmacht. Over 500.000 soldiers died in the freezing cold and muddy terrain near Orscha.

Austria 1945

Today I want to tell you a story that happend far back in 1945. The war was nearly over. The Americans already freed half of west Austria. But there was still resistance. A few // combat groups refused to give up. These groups consited mostly from conzentrationcamp guards. A big resistance nest was situated near Wels. Troops where moving from house to house to force recruite every man from 15-65 years. Among them was my great grandfathers older brother. He was 16 when they gave him a rifle and sendt him to fight the americans. After a few days he died only a few hundred meters away from his home. After a pocketbattle most of the german soldiers where wounded or dead. Another examble for the futility and mercilessness of war.

Geonosis Star Wars Ep. II

The attack of the clones.
Geonisis is one of the first worlds where the clone wars begun. The Republic forces fight against the Confederacy of Indipendent Systems. Geonosis also was an important tactical target since there were big droidfactories on it.

On my Moc you can see the attack of some droids and geonosians onto republican forces and a Jedi. You might notice that ist the secound time this Jedi is featured in one of my Mocs.

4 years of war ended with a Austrian-German defeat. 4 bloody years of scare and fear stopped surprisingly quiet. The areas all along the front lines in europe are destroyed and filled with blood, scrap metal and cartridge cases. It will take years for the nature and the people to recover from this. But something even bigger is coming up...
